Located on the 24th floor in the marina district of downtown San Diego was a condo in need of a major remodel in order to live up to its prime views across beautiful San Diego bay. The clients wanted a full remodel of the space including the kitchen and both bathrooms as well as laundry room and common spaces throughout the unit. New creative usage of space include hiding existing plumbing pipes inside the new kitchen pantry location and hiding hvac unit access by large doors left of tv. These solutions were implemented to expand and clean up the kitchen and tv/media areas with a more custom built in look. A rearranging of refrigerator and oven / hood locations was in order to make the larger high end appliances selected appropriate for the small kitchen space. Additional cabinetry space was added to the existing hallway adjacent to the kitchen to create more storage space for the unit and give the feel of an additional Butler’s Pantry to the kitchen. All new finishes, lighting, and furnishings throughout turn this space into a haven in the sky for these home owners.
