Located in the historic North Park neighborhood of San Diego was a typical backyard fence situation where the residents wanted more privacy with a taller fence but needed to also build according to local building codes. The wood slatted design allows for additional height due to it not being a solid structure. Designing the top portion to protrude as a trellis / awning gives the fence a 3rd dimension and the backyard additional shading.
