Located in the Marina district in downtown San Diego was a condo with great potential showcasing west facing views of the sunset over San Diego harbor. The existing kitchen was closed off and walled in with access through two small double doors. By tearing down walls we opened up the new kitchen to welcome in the natural light and visual access to the main living areas. Small space storage solutions were used as part of the streamlined design by using drawers within drawers, an 18″ integrated dishwasher, integrated refrigerator, and custom sliding doors to hide the HVAC and washer/dryer. Major reworking of the layout in the master bath provided a more open and user-friendly space by once again tearing down divisive walls and moving the toilet out of the center of the space. All new lighting, finishes, and furnishings throughout helped make this space a permanent retreat for our client.
